On this page, we explain how to make a tick-repellent wristband using EM ceramics.
For this knot, you will need 5 cm of cord per 1 cm of strap. Here, we are using an adjustable strap of approximately 20 cm and have used three pieces of cord, each 110 cm long. For larger straps, you will naturally need more cord and EM ceramic beads.
For the strap shown below, you will need a total of:
3 x 110 cm paracord type 3
7 x EM ceramic beads
2 x dog paw beads
1 x cord stopper
Step 1
Tie a knot in your cord and make sure the middle colour is the one where the EM beads will go.
Step 2
Slide the first bead onto the first cord
Step 3

Now tie a knot as shown in the photos above
Step 4
Now slide the second bead over the middle cord and repeat the steps above
Step 5
Once you have finished knotting, make a knot at the end just like the one you started with.
Step 7
Now we’ll start finishing it off. Cut one of the outer threads on both sides close to the knot.
Step 8
Now seal the end of the thread you’ve just cut so that it doesn’t fray.
Step 8
Now we need to add the beads; these have a small diameter so they sit tightly on the wire. Pull the core wires of the last +-4cm out of the outer sheath
Step 9
Cut the core wires.
Step 10
Slide the cord stopper and bead over the two wires
Step 12
Tie a small knot at the end and seal it; do this for both ends.
Step 13
The strap is now completely finished!
