Calculate your Jig length

This standalone tool calculates the length of the knot section. Cord usage per strand cannot be determined reliably without a verified pattern.

How do I measure the fastening or adapter?

A buckle and an adapter are not measured in the same way. Use the measurement method below that matches your fastening.

Closed buckle measured from outer edge to outer edge
Buckle: measure the full outside dimension Close the buckle and place one outer edge at 0 cm. Then measure to the other outer edge. Measure from side to side, not from the centre and not between the openings.
Adjustable adapter measured from the start of the loop to the selected hole
Adapter: measure to the middle hole as standard Preferably insert the buckle into the middle hole. Measure from the start of the loop to that hole. If you deliberately use another position, measure to the selected hole. Do not measure the adapter when fully extended.
